    Hats off to anyone who can produce that without thinking that the many sharp metal spikes may be a bad idea.

  3. Hmm, I have many scars on my shins already from running pedals with screws on my Cross Country bike, and all because I was afraid of using clipless pedals off road.

  4. I had a evil BMX as a kid(I swear it was possessed)it had surraded bear traps that attacked the shins. Strangley they were the only BMX pedals that you could buy at the time, I never thought to put standard flat pedals on it, Doh!

  5. I rememember those, about 4kg per side.
    1" thick steel spindles surrounded by nice big chunky blades of 2mm plate with a tread pattern modelled on a pruning saw.

    They were always rusty too for some reason,
    even fresh from the packet.

    Aah Tetanus and infections, those were the days.
